The SPD, degenerated to a CDU appendage
Slowly, the SPD is becoming a burden for the CDU. Instead of welcoming the increase in arms expenditure, faction leader Mützenich is moaning about the level of expenditure, and the new minister does not know whether she will now be supported in principle or whether cross-cuts are to be expected. Also for the foreign employments of the Federal Armed Forces a powerful yes sounds from the SPD (yes and no). But to be government and opposition at the same time, that does not go. The German language therefore has the proverbs: „Mitgefangen, mithangen“ (captured with, hung with) or „Der Hehler ist so schlecht wie der Stehler“ (The fence is as bad as the stealer). (the fence is as bad as the stealer.)
And Minister Giffey is now poaching on the terrain of the CDU: security, order and protection from crime are close to her heart, all fields in which the CDU has so far scored points. But to copy from others, Mrs. Giffey has experience with that.
SPD Finance Minister Scholz sees it as his most important task to take care of the so-called black zero, an adequate employment for a political zero. He behaves like a Hanseatic merchant, but there is little interest outside Hamburg.
The Minister of Agriculture constantly refuses to reduce the contamination of the soil and groundwater with liquid manure. The SPD is not embarrassed, it would act probably exactly in such a way, if it held this Ministry.
The Minister of Transport wants to leave the burden of Alpine transit to the Austrians, and if they resist, he accuses them of discrimination. One does not wonder about the impudence of this minister any more, but the SPD keeps quiet and covers this behavior.
And climate protection: Minister Altmaier only has to say: not now, the industry could suffer; already the minister, Mrs. Schulze, flinches back: so here too there is a bad report.
The workers in Gelsenkirchen and the inhabitants of the small towns in the Sauerland have different expectations of the political personnel. But they are no longer courted by the SPD, but the party serves the bourgeoisie. However, the CDU and FDP are already much more credible there. And the saturated bourgeoisie, which wants a feel-good atmosphere, feels well looked after by the Green Party. So the SPD cannot afford anything but a little nagging, otherwise the CDU dissolves the coalition immediately after the upcoming state elections and rules with the Greens and the FDP. Lindner has already flattered Frau von der Leyen in order to get into position. And in new elections, the SPD, like Holland’s party in France, would disappear into insignificance.
Schröder and Fischer have marginalized the underclass, disavowing it as lazybones and temporarily preventing an uprising of German yellow jackets. In return, the SPD was allowed to occupy government seats for a long time. The FDP and Greens, however, will do this business more effectively. As the recession progresses and the number of insolvencies and mass layoffs increases, there will be no stopping and the hunt for the underclass and parts of the middle class will be revived.
For years, the political class has produced nothing but the political safeguarding of the financial frenzy; the financial oligarchy gratefully acknowledges it. The audience, however, is fobbed off with the stuffy exhibition skating at the Wagner Festival.
